A letter from the
team

Anthony D'souza

President - IPMMI.

“Life has come a full circle since the time I sat in support with the founder members of IPMMI while the thought of bringing IPMMI into existence was being contemplated more than two decades ago. The dreams were big and the plans for growth were visionary. We have come a long way from there. Being a person who finds it inspiring to live up to any challenge, I would first like to graciously accept this honorary role to lead IPMMI further as the President for the term 2022-2024. I pledge to live upto our beliefs, help us grow and contribute to the vision of the Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India.
Packaging machinery manufacturers have had an under-rated role to play in the packaging industry. Every packaging facilitator depends organically on the machine manufacturers to understand the nuances of the changing consumer needs at any given point.
IPMMI has been an organisation that encourages and educates our community on ways to catalyse our growth and expand our horizons, only to be able to nurture the new possibilities that can give birth to a new era in packaging.
This next phase will focus on the upliftment of the micro scale packaging sector of our industry, open global opportunities for the Indian packaging companies to showcase their talents and invite growth and profitability beyond borders, and center around the needs of the members and fellow fraternity stakeholders by creating a platform to voice, nurture and build the tribe of packaging further. Along with the support of our esteemed Board of Governors and Directors, and Mr. Mahadevan Iyer, Hon. Vice-President IPMMI, I will work towards building this dream into reality. “
“I am deeply humbled by your support for electing me to serve this association as the Vice President for the next 2 years. I will dedicatedly serve this association to the best of my knowledge and commitment to achieve our shared goals. Post covid, machine manufacturers are experiencing new challenges as the packaging industry continues to evolve. Consumer preferences, availability of materials, and changes in processing continue to advance, bringing about new packaging challenges for the companies. We as industry leaders must consider, where the packaging industry is heading to, what now lies in store for the packaging machine manufacturers during the years ahead? This leaves more room for innovation and improvement. For this, it is the time for us to be united as a community so that we can genuinely focus to voice packaging issues, take initiatives to expand the business footprint and have access to real growth opportunities. Our association is one that has been built by our compassion towards each other, our commitment to decency, and our faith in team-work. To keep up the same, I along with our President Mr, Anthony D’souza and the members will ensure your concerns are heard and addressed. Thank you again for this tremendous honour.”

Mahadevan Iyer

Vice President - IPMMI.
